Since tigers hunt mostly at dusk and dawn their stripes help hide them
in the shadows of the tall grass. Tiger stripes are like human
fingerprints with no two tigers having the same pattern. They stalk
and pounce beause they are unable to chase prey for long distances.
A Male tiger can consume as much as 88lbs of meat at one time.
Tigers are the largest member of the cat family with the males
weighing up to 500 lbs and the females up to 300 lbs.
There are less than 3,000 Bengal tigers left in the wild and they are listed
by th USFWS as endangered.
