THE AMERICAN BLACK BEAR
(Ursus americanus)
The black bear inhabits forests and woodlands of North America.  They eat vegetation, grubs, small animals, and carrion.  Colors range from white, black, cinnamon and brown.  The black bear can weigh up to 600lbs 

1-3 cubs are born during January or February, and stay with the mother for 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 years.
