Originally from West
Africa, Nigerian
Dwarf goats are bred
for milk production.
In fact the females (does)
of the breed,
which range in weight
from 17 to
19 pounds, can produce
up to 2 quarts
of milk each day.

Petie is a pygora
goat which is a cross between a pygmy and an angora goat. Pygmy goats
are a dwarf breed originally from Africa. they are stocky
and heavily boned.
Angora goats are raised mainly for their fleece, which is used in the upholstery
and clothing industries. The fleece on the angora goat grows at a
rate of about 1 inch
per month.

Duncan is a Saanen
goat born
February 20, 2000.
Originally from Switzerland, Saanen goats are usually
pure white and are very
popular with
dairies due to the quantity
of milk
they can produce.

Gerard is a Suffolk
cross sheep.
Suffolk rams (males)
can range in
weight from 250 to 350
pounds and Gerard is no exception. He tops the scales at 340 pounds.
Gerard is along time resident of Wildlife Safari and
was even featured in
our Christmas Wildlights skit disguisedas a reindeer.

sheep. Jacob's sheep,
like all sheep, probably
originated from
the European Mouflon
sheep. they are
all white with black
spots and both males
and females have horns.
