Finally after much planning we have
begun work on our new children's zoo
which will be opening this spring.
A big change will be a 40x60 foot
covered area, making it possible to keep the encounter area open year round.
This is the first of three areas of development
in the children's area
and will incorporate all of the existing large
trees and the existing
nursery building.
All existing cement pads will
be removed and the sloping ground leveled
in preparation for the
new pole barn.
Most of what you see in this photo
will soon be removed and
equipment brought in to begin the leveling
process

a new fence.

location for the building.
Crew from maintenance begins
final stages of removing
pieces of the old petting zoo.
With all the rain, the project takes
on a look of major destruction
taking place.
