Oregon Natural
Resources Research Institute and the Bureau of Land Management are conducting
a survey of aquatic macro invertebrates (like bugs and snails) this summer.
The survey will
feature five teams of four putting on the waders and bringing out the nets
to collect critters on BLM lands. The teams will sort the bugs to
order using microscopes and taxonomy keys. Good data will be used
to upgrade the ARIMS database.
This spring,
Wildlife Safari ( home of ONRRI) will offer five classes on biodiversity,
Saturdays starting on April 6th. If you want the opportunity to do
real science.....
