THE EMU
(Dormaius novaehollandiae)
The Emu inhabit deserts and woodlands of Cdentral Australia.
They eat insects, fruit, leaves and grass. The emu is the second
largest living bird, standing 5-6 feet tall and weighing 80-90 lbs.
This is the national bird of Australia, and is capable of running 40mph.
