COUNSELOR INFO Welcome to Wildlife Safaris brand new education opportunity! WHO: YOU! If you are a teacher, community member, or college student who is interested in inspiring 4th-7th grade students to learn about science, the environment, and animals. WHAT: The Safari Science Camp Counselor program provides an opportunity for teachers, community members, and college students to help run Wildlife Safaris brand new education program for 4th 7th grade students, Safari Science Camp. Counselors work with high school age Counselors-In-Training (CITs) as well as Wildlife Safari staff members and guest educators. Together, we will teach the campers in a fun and entertaining manner, in a friendly environment, while having lots of fun ourselves! Activities will be hands-on, and will include animal encounters, nature walks, creative games, arts and crafts, and behind the scenes tours of Wildlife Safari. This session, we will study aspects of habitat. There will be opportunities to develop parts of the curriculum and activities at counselor training meetings. Counselors will be expected to be able to follow a lesson plan and lead some activities. WHEN: Camp days are March 26-28
from 9:15am 3:45pm (spring break).
