What
is Camp Tiki?
Camp Tiki is named after Tiki, one of Wildlife
Safaris African Elephants. Tiki is an accomplished artist with paintings
available in the gift shop or on the web. Tiki is also an opera star
having performed twice in the Portland Operas production of Aida.
She is just one of three incredible African Elephants you will meet on
your camping adventure of a lifetime!
CAMP
TIKI is an outdoor camping experience taking
place in the Safari elephant compound. It includes an elephant meet
and greet with petting and feeding, an evening safari, wine & cheese
around the campfire, marshmallow roasting and stories galore. This
is topped off with an overnight stay in the elephant yard. You will
hear the sounds of Africa, ranging from the rumbling of the rhinos to
the snorting and splashing of the hippos just outside your camp.
In the morning you will rise with the sun, have a quick continental breakfast
and accompany the Elephants on their morning walk through the park.
Having the opportunity to walk with and learn more about the largest living
land mammals is a breathtaking experience you will not forget. This
will be followed by a hot breakfast in the White Rhino Restaurant.
